‘They will kill your 3-year-old’: Family reacts to deadly Las Vegas police shooting

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The family of a 3-year-old boy who died Tuesday morning is pushing back against the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s description of what transpired when officers shot at the child’s father, killing him.

Kentre Quinn Allen Baker was killed after his mother called police to report a domestic disturbance near Maryland Parkway and Wigwam Avenue involving the child’s father, who is her boyfriend.

But this is where Raneka Pate’s version of events differs from what Metro has said publicly.

“I don’t call the police unless I feel like my life is threatened, and I felt like my life was threatened. Not only was my life threatened, but my son’s life was threatened,” Raneka said…
