LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The College of Southern Nevada announced the launch of new cannabis career certificate programs on Wednesday.
CSN has offered cannabis courses in partnership with cannabis education leader Green Flower for several years, but announced on Feb. 4 that it is now launching six new online programs dedicated to the industry.

“We constantly work with local industries to tailor our courses and programs to meet their needs,” Stavan Corbett, who leads the college’s Workforce & Economic Development division, said. “Cannabis is on the leading edge of job growth in Nevada. We’re here to help connect the industry to properly trained, qualified workers.”
There will be six new online programs lasting from eight to 16 weeks that will align with the industry’s most in-demand job sectors. Those programs include:
- Cannabis Associate Certificate
- Cannabis Cultivation Specialist
- Cannabis Product Development Specialist
- Cannabis Retail & Sales Specialist
- Cannabis Compliance Specialist
- Medical Cannabis Specialist.
