Turkish asylum seeker learned of pregnancy while held at Henderson detention center

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Turkish couple seeking refuge in Las Vegas says their pursuit of the American dream has now come to a halt after one of them was taken into custody and booked into the Henderson Detention Center.

It was about two years ago when Emine and her husband, Batuhan Sahin, immigrated to the United States seeking safety, shelter and asylum.
