Clark County jury finds Anthony Newton guilty; death penalty removed

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man caught up in a deadly love triangle now faces life in prison. A Clark County jury found Anthony Newton guilty of all charges Friday, including first-degree murder, robbery with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping with a deadly weapon.

However, prosecutors took the death penalty off the table for Newton.

In 2016, Newton and his brother-in-law, George Malaperdas, brutally murdered Cesar Molina after sleeping with Newton’s wife while he was in prison.
