Video: Montana woman yells ‘I will shoot’ before pointing gun at Nevada trooper

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Montana woman who pointed a gun at a Nevada state trooper is heard on bodycam yelling “I will shoot” before that trooper shot at her in Las Vegas over the weekend, according to video released Wednesday.

Barbara Lu, 51, faces charges including assault on a protected person and DUI, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported Monday.

Shortly before 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, a trooper saw Lu run a red light and nearly cause a crash, police said. The trooper pulled her over on an Interstate 15 entrance ramp near St. Rose Parkway.

The trooper asked Lu to exit her vehicle because the trooper observed indicators of suspected impaired driving, and she “refused to comply,” Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Col. Michael Edgell said during a briefing on Wednesday…
