LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas man who killed an elderly couple and stole their Social Security checks died at a Northern Nevada prison, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Robert Dunn, 63, was sentenced to 24 years to life in prison in April 2025 on charges of murder in the first degree with a victim over 65, grand theft, and robbery, after he entered an Alford plea in the murder case.
An Alford plea is when a defendant indicates there is a likelihood of conviction during trial, but they do not admit guilt. Dunn admitted to stealing money but did not admit to the murders.
On Feb. 5, NDOC reported that Dunn was pronounced dead at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. His cause of death was not released and an autopsy was requested…
