Nevada State Police investigate deadly crash on U.S. 95

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Nevada Highway Patrol, a division of the Nevada State Police, is on the scene of a fatal crash on Friday on northbound U.S. 95 near mile marker 132 in Clark County.

The crash, reported at 8:21 p.m., involved two vehicles. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Nevada State Police have shut down U.S. 95 in both directions near the crash site, located south of Mercury, Nevada. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Detours have been established for both northbound and southbound traffic.

As of now, southbound lanes are expected to reopen for all travel. However, northboundlanes will remain closed for an extended investigation. Traffic heading northbound will be diverted at Indian Springs. State Police say further details will be released as the preliminary investigation continues…
