LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — If you’re driving around downtown Las Vegas, you may spot a mural of a woman. She’s a Ukrainian refugee killed in North Carolina. But what is her face doing in Las Vegas?
The painting is tied to a nationwide project reportedly backed by billionaire Elon Musk.

Gear Duran is the graffiti artist behind the painting of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, located near Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards. The mural is 147 feet wide and 20 feet tall.
