LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — As the nation’s fifth-largest school district works to boost safety for children at bus stops, one technology company is already preparing to install stop-arm cameras on 1,900 buses across the Clark County School District.
After a competitive process with six bids from different companies, FOX5 has learned that the District has recommended Verra Mobility as the supplier for camera systems to record stop-arm violations. The documents are part of the February 26 agenda for the Board of Trustees; the recommendation must receive a Board vote for Verra Mobility to become the official contractor to deploy the massive rollout.
