Alamo, Nevada – A trio of earthquakes shook Lincoln County north of Las Vegas, marking a noticeable burst of seismic activity in southern Nevada.
According to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, the strongest quake measured magnitude 3.7 and struck about 30 kilometers south-southwest of Alamo at a shallow depth of roughly 2 kilometers. A magnitude 3.4 earthquake followed in nearly the same area at a depth of 12 kilometers. A third quake, measuring magnitude 3.0, also hit close by at a depth of about 10 kilometers…
