LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A new national report is taking a closer look at diversity across the country — and where cities stand when it comes to race, language, and birthplace.
According to a study from personal finance website WalletHub, researchers compared more than 500 U.S. cities to determine which are the most and least ethnically diverse. The ranking is based on three key factors: ethnoracial diversity, linguistic diversity, and birthplace diversity.
While the top spots were dominated by cities in states like Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington, the findings also offer a snapshot of how Western cities — including those in Nevada — fit into the nation’s evolving demographic landscape.

Las Vegas, long known as a cultural crossroads fueled by tourism and migration, reflects many of the trends highlighted in the report.
