Las Vegas nonprofit loses lease, tenants in limbo

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The nonprofit organization known as Caridad, which assists individuals transitioning out of homelessness, is saying goodbye to tenants at Hebron, its housing, after its lease was cancelled months before it was set to expire.

​The Hebron property was prepared to pay back rent in court to keep its lease in place through October.

However, the property owner, YSBM Investments, LLC, declined that payment and instead cancelled the lease ahead of schedule. The property has since been flipped to a weekly rental model, dramatically increasing costs for its residents…
