LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A tropical toucan that was spotted in northwest Las Vegas over the past several months has finally been captured.
The bird, dubbed “Sam Toucan” by residents, flew into a local homeowner’s garage on Wednesday near Lone Mountain Road and Fort Apache Drive.
The brightly colored bird, which is not native to the Nevada desert, had been the subject of dozens of sightings throughout the northwest part of the city in recent months.
