LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Happy Sunday! Welcome to the first day of March, where we are still looking at the 80’s for afternoon highs today. We closed out February quite warm, even breaking the daily record yesterday for several places including Las Vegas, Needles, CA, and Kingman, AZ. February’s average temperature was 58.9F, which is 5.4 degrees above normal.
February 2026 ranked as the second-warmest February, according to NWS Las Vegas record-keeping data.
Breezy winds have already started to pick up. There is still a wind advisory in effect for the Barstow area due to 20-30 mph wind speeds and gusts up to 50 mph. This is in effect until Monday at 10 pm so travelers should be aware of strong crosswinds and blowing dust.
