Rural Nevada neighborhood votes on future of land used for horses

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — So far, Henderson neighbors are optimistic about the future of hundreds of undeveloped acres, once set for a major road development, after a freeway detour solution.

The City of Henderson met with neighbors in the Mission Hills neighborhood, which encompasses a rural preservation area, at a Feb. 19 meeting to review two options for relieving traffic at the growing area surrounding Nevada State University.
