A driver critically hurt in a three-car collision at East Pebble Road and Pollock Drive in southeast Las Vegas has died, according to city investigators. The Jan. 24 crash left the man hospitalized for several days before the Clark County coroner notified police of his death.
Police said the wreck happened at about 11:33 a.m. when a 2003 Ford Explorer heading east entered the intersection against a red light and hit a northbound 2012 Dodge Challenger. The impact pushed both vehicles east, sending the Explorer into the left rear of a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse that was stopped at a red signal. The Explorer then continued onto the sidewalk and struck a tree and a light pole. The Ford’s driver, a 68-year-old man, was taken to Sunrise Hospital with substantial injuries, while the other drivers were identified only as a 46-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, according to News 3 LV.
A representative from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner later informed Metro that the man, “despite life-saving measures, died and was pronounced deceased Jan. 30, 2026,” News 3 LV reported. Metro’s Collision Investigation Section says the case remains open as detectives continue to sort through the evidence.
