Tech giant launches internet service in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Google’s GFiber internet service has launched in Las Vegas, bringing a new option for high-speed internet.

The tech giant began laying cable in the west valley in January 2025, and service is now available around Summerlin.

Melani Griffith, chief growth officer for GFiber, says internet is like a utility.

“G fiber is high speed internet service at a price that is not changing,” Griffith said. “We have not changed our one gig service price in 13 years since we’ve actually been around.”…
