A shooting call turned an east Las Vegas intersection into an active crime scene Thursday afternoon after reports of gunfire in the east valley.
According to Las Vegas police, LVMPD dispatch got a call around 1:44 p.m. about a possible shooting near North Pecos Road and East Bonanza Road. Responding officers determined a firearm had been discharged. No injuries were reported, and one person was detained at the scene.
News 3 LV reports that Metro officers canvassed the surrounding area while detectives processed evidence and interviewed potential witnesses. The station noted that an individual was detained in connection with the incident as the investigation moves forward.
