LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was hit and killed at an east Las Vegas intersection Saturday morning, according to Metro police.
Around 6 a.m., Metro police responded to the area of Nellis Boulevard and Meikle Lane near Lake Mead Boulevard after a report of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle while walking outside of a crosswalk, police said.
Evidence at the scene, witness statements and video surveillance showed that a woman crossed Nellis Boulevard, south of Meikle Lane, outside of a marked crosswalk and entered the path of a Ford Explorer Sport Trac pickup truck. The woman was hit by the pickup truck and thrown into the roadway…
