99-year-old Las Vegas woman recalls repairing WWII warplanes at 17

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — At 99 years old, Las Vegas resident Linda Albanese can still vividly recall the precision work she did on military aircraft during World War II — and how different the job was from aviation work today.

Albanese was among the many women who supported the United States during the war, taking on roles that became synonymous with the “Rosie the Riveter” era.
