Henderson, police unions reach deal, again

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The battle between Henderson City Hall and their police unions was supposed to be over, but a closed-door agreement reveals peace was only struck once some lawyers were outside the room.

On March 17, the Henderson City Council held a public hearing on an arbitrator’s decision for a labor agreement regarding the Henderson Police Officers’ Association (HPSA). The determination reflected similar agreements for the other police unions, but concerns soon spread as accusations of money being “clawed back” by city hall grew.

“Based on the arbitrator’s decision, doing the math, officers are going to have to pay back on the holiday pay,” Henderson Councilwoman Carrie Cox said at the regular city council meeting…
