Swastikas left on student desks at a Henderson charter school have set off an internal investigation and rattled families in the Cadence neighborhood, according to school officials at Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas. The markings were discovered Monday morning, right after spring break, inside a classroom at the academy’s Cadence campus, and administrators say staff immediately launched an inquiry.
Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas confirmed in a statement to News 3 that it “maintains zero tolerance for antisemitism and any form of hate” and that an investigation is underway. The academy’s CEO and executive director, Dr. Ercan Aydogdu, said the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness, according to the station. News 3 reported that no additional details were disclosed.

The Cadence campus is one of seven Coral Academy locations serving K–12 students across the Las Vegas Valley, according to Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas. The district website lists campus contact and program details for Cadence, but as of Monday afternoon it did not include a separate, campus-level statement about the swastika incident. School leaders have said they are committed to keeping classrooms safe and inclusive while the inquiry plays out.
