Shade Tree’s Champagne & Pearls event spotlights women leaders for Women’s History Month

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — More than 240 guests gathered Saturday for The Shade Tree’s annual spring event, Champagne & Pearls, a Women’s History Month celebration that highlighted women leaders and women-owned businesses while raising support for the nonprofit.

The event featured a shopping experience with local women-owned businesses, a champagne and mimosa bar, brunch and a panel discussion built around the theme “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”

The panel included Amy Ayoub, The Zen Speaker and an anti-human-trafficking advocate, public speaking coach and business owner; Patranya Bhoolsuwani, an award-winning journalist and owner of Patranya Media LLC; Deandra Duggans, chief marketing officer for the Las Vegas Aces; Ellie Roohani, an attorney for Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada who helps human trafficking and domestic violence survivors; and Linda Perez, CEO of The Shade Tree.
