Las Vegas resident arrested in Arizona for counterfeit ‘bill washing’ scheme

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Las Vegas resident was arrested in Arizona for allegedly engaging in a major multi-state counterfeiting scheme.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said its Special Crimes and K9 units were investigating two suspects in Ash Fork, a small town off Interstate 40 west of Flagstaff.

Deputies searched their vehicle and found a safe filled with specialized paper used for currency production. They also found ink, gloves and partially printed $100 bills…
