Las Vegas Fur Con takes over the city with thousands, wild looks and unapologetic self-expression

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas has seen a lot—but this weekend, things are getting a little… furrier.The Las Vegas Fur Con is taking over Alexis Park Resort April 2–5, pulling in thousands for a 21+ convention that blends art, nightlife, and full-on self-expression. Think Comic-Con meets a Vegas party—just swap superheroes for human-like animal characters with big personalities and even bigger style.Welcome to the world of “furries.”Las Vegas Fur Con, also known as LVFC, is a gathering for fans of anthropomorphic—aka “furry”—art and creative work. The convention is organized by Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events, a Nevada-based nonprofit focused on building community and giving back, with leadership that reflects a diverse mix of backgrounds and identities.
