LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman was pronounced dead after police responded to a shooting in the east Las Vegas valley.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers were called to the 2800 block of Karen Avenue near Eastern and Sahara avenues in response to a shooting just after 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

Metro police and Clark County Fire arrived on the scene and located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Monique Rodriguez of the LVMPD. Police on the scene attempted life-saving efforts, but she was pronounced dead on the scene.
