Las Vegas to see peak heat on Monday with 90F temperatures

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Mostly clear skies to mostly sunny out there this afternoon, as clouds are starting to push out slowly as high pressure parks itself across the southwestern U.S. today. It will rebuild over the region these next few days, amplifying and turning on the heat as we enter this week.

We’re already off to a warmer start today and afternoon highs will increase a bit each day. Monday, the heat looks to peak, where we could see 90F once again.

Thankfully, those strong winds that brought on that wind advisory and blowing dust and debris have calmed down a bit. We are left with lighter afternoon breezes for the valley and improving even more so around Lake Havasu and Lake Mohave, where recreation will be much better by tomorrow.

Stronger winds will pick up once again, though by Monday, lasting until about midweek and that’s where we start to see temperatures drop down again a bit as a weather pattern catches on…
