LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A family is raising medical funds through GoFundMe after a man and woman were both hospitalized after an explosion while fueling up their friend’s boat at Callville Bay on Sunday.
Jessie Hart is recovering at University Medical Center with severe burns on her hands and feet while trying to save her dog from the flames. Hart said her husband, Mark Michelini, is in critical condition, battling third-degree burns across most of his body.
“It was our friend’s boat that he’s having us sell. You know, my husband’s a used boat sales manager of Boating Lake Mead. We went and got gas,” Hart told 8 News Now in a bedside interview at UMC.

“My husband was done gassing up the boat. And he started basically untying the boat. And he was on the boat and I was on the dock. And our puppy jumped in because Mark was in the boat. And I just got done on tying the back of the boat. Mark started the boat.”…
