Victim’s son returns to childhood home after deadly fire, demolition

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Roman Jauregui walked through what was left of his childhood home in North Las Vegas, pointing out where the rooms used to be after a fire earlier in the week destroyed the house and the city later knocked the structure down.

“Master bedroom was right here. The living room was kind of centered towards, right here, in the middle. We had the restroom here,” Jauregui said as he revisited the property.

The home burned in a Tuesday afternoon blaze that was fueled by wind, which helped the fire spread to a neighboring shed and into the Jauregui family’s yard. Five family members escaped the fire. No people died, but the family’s rabbits that were in the yard were killed…
