LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clark County Commissioners approved permits for the construction of the valley’s first standalone children’s hospital on Wednesday.
According to the Clark County agenda, the permits are for an Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital with a heliport. Parts of the permit show plans to increase the building’s height, reduce loading spaces, and allow modified driveway geometrics.

The 826,600-square-foot, 8-story hospital will be built at UNLV’s Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, just northeast of the 215 Beltway at South Durango Drive. Groundbreaking is planned for later this year.
