Driver went over 140 mph while fleeing trooper on Turnpike in Miami-Dade, FHP says

A Miami driver who allegedly went over 140 mph while fleeing from a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on the Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade is facing serious charges, authorities said.

Jamal Kamari Law, 21, was arrested on charges including attempted fleeing and eluding an officer at high speed, driving with a suspended license and having a tag that wasn’t assigned to his vehicle, records showed.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday when the trooper spotted a black Ford Mustang going over 100 mph next to another vehicle in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near Bird Road, an arrest report said…
