WALTON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) — An Alabama woman was killed and a Fort Lauderdale man was seriously injured in a head-on collision Sunday night in Walton County.
It happened near mile marker 16 on State Road 285 at about 7 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a 70-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale was traveling south on State Road 285 and a 49-year-old Alabama woman was traveling north. The 70-year-old man’s vehicle entered the northbound lane resulting in a head-on collision, troopers wrote in a news release.
The crash remains under investigation.
