Nova Southeastern University Sells Property for $15 Million to Jewish Organization

In a notable real estate move, Nova Southeastern University (NSU) has sold its east campus building in Fort Lauderdale to the Mel Landow Foundation for $15 million. The transaction also includes $10.85 million in seller financing, according to property data.

The 66,453-square-foot building, located on 4.5 acres at 3100 S.W. Ninth Ave., was constructed in 1980. It’s quite a jump from its previous sale price of $3.3 million back in 1982. The Mel Landow Foundation, affiliated with the Hollywood-based Jewish Academy, is the new owner of this educational space.

NSU, which is headquartered in Davie, had put the east campus up for sale last November. The building was previously used for back office operations like human resources, finance, and auditing. However, with some staff now working remotely or from leased spaces near the Rolling Hills golf club, NSU decided it was time for a change. Eventually, these employees will relocate to a newly converted office space in the former Miami Dolphins training facility on NSU’s main campus.
