Miami-Dade is now searching for a new transit leader, as Eulois Cleckley announces plans to depart his role as director of the Department of Transportation and Public Works. After guiding Miami-Dade’s transit through three years of growth and change, Cleckley is now leading the Underline project, an initiative to revitalize the space beneath the Metrorail. The Miami Herald reports that Cleckley had considered a position to run Boston’s airport and seaport in May before deciding to stay local and oversee the Underline’s development.
