Talk about a whirlwind birth story. A woman shockingly gave birth in the departures area at Miami International Airport. Giving birth in a public place is always a terrifying experience given how quickly delivery can go wrong. But sometimes, there’s nothing that can be done .
The woman successfully had an airport birth, thanks to the quick moving first responders who rushed to her aid to ensure that she and her baby were able to survive the experience.

Her trip will likely have to wait.
WSVN reported that the woman was sitting in the pre-security ticketing area of Miami International Airport, when her water broke around Checkpoint 1. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the medical call around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12. There was no time to move her, so they had to deliver her baby in the seating lounge.
