MIAMI – An inmate at the Federal Detention Center in Miami has tested positive for tuberculosis, officials confirmed Friday.
A spokesperson with the Federal Bureau of Prisons said the agency is working with the local health department to take precautions aimed at preventing further exposure among staff, inmates and the surrounding community.
