Miami-Dade is gearing up for a significant moment in affordable housing with the unveiling of the Ludlam Trail Towers, a development specifically addressing the housing needs of older adults. As reported by Miami-Dade County, the grand opening, slated for Tuesday, May 13, will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new apartments at 6955 SW 24 Street, Miami, FL 33155.
The project, crafted by MV Real Estate Holdings, LLC, is a collection of 67 one- and two-bedroom apartments, equipped with dishwashers, garbage disposals, and washer and dryer hookups inside five-story buildings including benefits such as a clubhouse, recreation and community rooms along with resident programs, a pedestal offering residents a direct pathway to Ludlam Linear Park, the connection forged by a pedestrian overpass, bridge and ramp. Funding for this initiative reached $11.5 million, sourced from various Miami-Dade County programs.
High-profile attendees expected at the grand opening include Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and District 6 Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis, with interim Director Nathan Kogon, AICP, of the Housing and Community Development and Parks Department Director Maria I.
