Hollywood Police have apprehended a 19-year-old man for his involvement in a deadly collision that occurred last month. Gerson Alette Jr. is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, after the violent incident which claimed the life of a respected Miami Gardens barber, Douglas Freeman. As detailed by NBC Miami, Alette allegedly sped through a red light, resulting in the fatal crash on Sheridan Street and 40th Avenue.

Tragically striking Freeman’s car, the force of the impact propelled the vehicle through a sign, subsequently igniting it in flames. This heart-wrenching scene was preceded by footage showing a white car, later linked to Alette, weaving dangerously through traffic. According to the Local 10, Alette’s reckless journey, in a rush to reach his workplace at Longhorn Steakhouse, was abruptly ended in the fiery accident which occurred on Mother’s Day.
