Miami Beach officer fired after friendly fire incident on Venetian Causeway responds with federal lawsuit against department

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A Miami Beach police officer that accidentally shot her fellow officer when responding to a call has been fired, and now, she said she is planning to sue the department in federal court.

Shenaqua Stringer said she’s been under attack from her own department and coworkers ever since she responded to a call of a man with a gun along the Venetian Causeway on March 2, 2024.
