Man accused of striking 2 women on Coral Gables golf course with Mercedes

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — A 32-year-old man was arrested Thursday, months after he struck two women with his car as they were walking on a golf course in Coral Gables and then fled the scene, authorities said.

According to his arrest report, the hit-and-run crash occurred just before 6:20 a.m. on May 21 at a golf course in the 1500 block of North Greenway Drive.

Coral Gables police said Wilbert Cabrera-Valdes, of Hialeah, was driving a black Mercedes-Benz SUV west on the roadway as two women were walking west on the golf course…
