Fire erupts at Opa-locka apartment building

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — Flames tore through the roof of a two-story apartment building in Opa-locka Friday morning.

Sky 10 was above the scene in the 2100 block of Ali Baba Avenue around 9:30 a.m. as smoke was still coming from the building.

A large hole could be seen in the roof.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that the fire was reported at 8:17 a.m. and prompted more than 25 MDFR units to respond…
