Jeff and Laura “Lala” Bud, the owners of Apocalypse BBQ, recently celebrated the opening of Lala’s Burgers, as the one-time pop-up earned its own full-service restaurant in Kendall.
The big picture: The Buds know all about expansion. They started Apocalypse BBQ in their backyard before opening a 43-seat restaurant in 2022.
- In 2025, Apocalypse expanded into a 190-seat location at the Kendall Village Shopping Center, boasting a 2,000-gallon rotisserie smoker.
- Lala’s Burgers is now open at 13750 SW 88th St. in Kendall.
