Miami-Dade County and Florida Department of Health Host “Ending the HIV Epidemic” Health Fair in Miami

Miami-Dade County’s Office of Community Advocacy and the Florida Department of Health will co-host the annual “Ending the HIV Epidemic” Health Fair on February 11. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center Government Center, located at 111 NW 1st Street in Miami, according to a Miami-Dade County press release.

The health fair will offer free health screenings and provide information on HIV testing and prevention. County officials stated the event is intended to increase awareness and access to services for residents, noting that more than 30,000 people in Miami-Dade County are living with an HIV diagnosis.

As per the release, the event coincides with the county’s “Ending the HIV Epidemic in Miami-Dade County Awareness Week,” observed during the third week of February. The awareness week was established through Resolution 622-17 in 2017 and renamed through Resolution 453-21 in 2021.
