Man arrested after smashing slot machines at Hialeah business with hammer: Cops

A man was arrested after police said he used a hammer to smash some slot machines at a Hialeah business.

Juan Emilio Rodriguez, 35, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of armed criminal mischief, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, the alleged incident happened back in November at a business in the 4400 block of Palm Avenue.

Surveillance footage showed Rodriguez approaching slot machines armed with a hammer, and he broke three machines with the hammer and stole around $9,000 from inside, the report said…
