City of Miami opens applications for Senior Rental Assistance Program

The City of Miami has reopened the Senior Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) for new applications through Friday, Feb. 20.

The City of Miami Commission created SRAP to support senior, low-income renters (age 62 and older) living in the City of Miami whose households are at 50 percent of Area Median Income (AMI) or below and who face annual rent increases.

For those who qualify, SRAP may provide up to $500 per month toward rent, based on need, for up to one year. The city pays the assistance directly to the landlords of eligible properties.
