$170 Deal Shatters Miami-Dade Record

Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg closed on a record-breaking $170 million mansion on Miami’s Indian Creek Island on March 2. The 30,000-square-foot, under-construction estate marks the most expensive residential transaction in Miami-Dade County history.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, purchased the waterfront property located on the ultra-exclusive island often referred to as the “Billionaire Bunker.” According to property records, the estate spans approximately two acres —specifically a 1.84-acre site — and includes 200 feet of direct frontage on Biscayne Bay. The mansion, designed by renowned architect Ferris Rafauli, is currently under construction and is expected to feature nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and four powder rooms.

“This is a record, historic price for Miami-Dade County — and the house isn’t even finished. The buyers still have to design their space,” said Amanda H. Bender in a report by the New York Post.

Marketing materials for the residence emphasize its architectural significance. According to the listing on Realtor.com, “From the limestone façade and grand architectural proportions to the meticulously curated interiors, every detail showcases modern artistry and exceptional craftsmanship.” The listing further describes the property as a “classically inspired residence” that “offers endless views, indoor-outdoor living, and a sense of privacy and sophistication.”…
