Three months after venerable Miami Rowing Club coach Cesar Herrera was bestowed the honor of being selected as National Coach of the Year by his peers and avid supporters, he hasn’t had time to pause and reflect.
“I feel good about it but, really, I don’t have time to think,” he said, jokingly. “MRC keeps me working all the time.”
The native of Cuba, a two-time Olympian and three-time Pan American Games rowing standout, will be especially busy later this month, when the 53rd Miami International Regatta takes place on Saturday, March 28, at the Miami Marine Basin with 100-plus rowers.
