An early-morning hit-and-run in West Park left a woman dead on Monday, turning a routine commute hour into a crime scene near Barry Road and West Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
Deputies found the woman lying in the street and rushed her to Memorial Regional Hospital, where medical staff pronounced her dead. Lanes in the area were temporarily shut down as detectives documented the scene and collected evidence.
