Man faces 7 charges after gas station shooting in Opa-locka, records show

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — Opa-locka police officers reported seeing a 27-year-old man firing a black Glock 43X handgun at a white tow truck, and ordering him to “Drop the firearm!” and to “Get on the ground!”

Steven R. Garcia complied, and police officers took him into custody shortly before 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the U-Gas gas station at 14471 NW 27 Ave., in Opa-locka, according to a police report.

Witnesses said Garcia was driving a black Infiniti Q50 when he struck the back of the tow truck, and blamed the tow truck’s driver, and demanded payment for damages, according to the police report…
