Sierra Canyon (CA) faced Chaminade-Madonna (FL) in a showdown between nationally-ranked powers at Broward National Showcase at McArthur High School on Thursday night. The first half was very competitive, but the Trailblazers took over the second half for a 24-7 win over the Lions.
It wasn’t easy for Sierra Canyon in the first half, as they fumbled the ball FOUR TIMES with multiple chances to score. Their lone touchdown came in the second quarter when quarterback Demarco Hernandez connected with 4-star defensive lineman Stephen Harrison for a red-zone score.
Later in the quarter, Chaminade-Madonna capitalized on a turnover as 3-star running back and Purdue commit Amos Bradford took a direct snap and scored from one-yard out. That was the only time the Lions got in the end zone all night…
